               Please remember that the more information you provide for the addressing assignment means quicker and more accurate addressing.                        Photos and GPS Coordinates of the entrance/ driveway is the point of addressing.


Duties for Addressing Coordinator:

  • Establish city style addresses for rural areas by mapping the location with GPS
  • Maintain an accurate 911 addressing database (for location of telephones)
  • Maintain master street address guide (list of official road names with addressing ranges for each)
  • Provide verification to post offices of legitimate addresses



Having your 911 Emergency Address placement correct and updated with current information, especially in rural areas, is the best way to make sure you can have help sent to you when you need it the most. Accuracy is key in the time of need.
